Privacy Policy
How RepSense by RepRange collects, uses, and protects information when you use the app and website.
What we collect
- Workout data: sets, reps, tempo metrics, and related training metadata you create. Stored on your iPhone and Apple Watch.
- Training profile: if you build a plan, your goal, experience, schedule, equipment, exercises to skip and joints to go easy on. Stored only on your iPhone and used only to build and adjust your plan.
- Device signals: Apple Watch motion sensor data used to detect reps and tempo, processed on your devices.
- Usage analytics and crash reports (optional, off unless you opt in): which features you use, workout counts and lengths in ranges, and crash and performance reports from your iPhone. They include a random app identifier, are not linked to your name or Apple Account, and never include exercise names, weights, reps, your training profile or Health data.
- Exercise demo videos: the first time you open a demo, the video is downloaded from Google Cloud Storage (Firebase) and kept on your iPhone. Like any web request, this includes your IP address; it doesn't include anything about you or your workouts.
- Support information: details you share if you contact support.
How we use information
- Provide rep counting and tempo tracking.
- Show your workouts and history on your iPhone and Apple Watch.
- Build your training plan and suggest next steps, on your iPhone.
- If you opt in: understand which features help people train, and fix crashes.
- Respond to support requests and product feedback.
Health and fitness data
If you enable Apple Health or HealthKit integrations, data is handled according to Apple’s permissions and your settings. RepSense only accesses what you explicitly allow. Health data is never included in usage analytics or crash reports.
Data sharing
We do not sell your personal information, show ads, or track you across other apps and websites. Google stores the exercise demo videos (Firebase Storage) and, if you opt in, processes usage analytics (Firebase Analytics) and crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics) for us as a service provider. Your workouts and training profile never leave your devices, apart from anything you send us when you contact support.
Data retention
Workout data and your training profile stay on your devices (and in your own device backups) until you delete them in the app or uninstall it. There are no RepSense accounts and no cloud copy. Usage analytics are kept for 2 months and crash reports for up to 90 days.
Your choices
- Turn usage analytics and crash reports on or off, separately, in RepSense under Settings → Privacy. Turning analytics off also resets the app identifier.
- Edit your training profile in Settings → Training Profile.
- You can revoke Apple Health permissions in iOS settings.
- You can delete workouts and clear your history within the app.
- You can contact support for privacy-related questions or requests.
